Standard / Commercial-Off-The-Shelf
Plettenberg offers more than 30 COTS standard motors.
Plettenberg’s portfolio of commercial-off-the-shelf (“COTS”) drive solutions has been designed to cover a wide range of applications in demanding end-markets, such as aerospace, uncrewed systems, defense, med-tech, maritime, racing and many more.
Our portfolio of more than 30 COTS standard motors comprises rugged inrunner BLDC motors from our NOVA and ADVANCE series as well as outrunner BLDC motors from our ORBIT series. Datasheets for all COTS motors are available on the product pages under resources. Lead times for our COTS motors are typically ~2-6 weeks.
All our COTS products are designed for use in mission critical applications in the harshest environmental conditions. Plettenberg products offer the best ratio of power-to-weight-to-robustness. This allows for achieving the best reliability and minimizing total-cost-of-ownership.
If a COTS product is not suitable for the envisaged application, Plettenberg offers modified-off-the-shelf (“MOTS”) solutions. MOTS motors come with custom winding and electrical design support from our engineering team. If a MOTS solution is not sufficient and significant tailorization is required, a fully-custom (“FC”) solution can be offered. FC drive solutions are highly application specific and can be adjusted to complex requirements. If you do not find a suitable product within our COTS portfolio, please reach out to our sales team to receive more information on our MOTS or FC solutions.
